Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

'Pet of the Week' is a network stunt on Boomerang, where kids can submit their pet to be the channel's star Pet of the Week. It is an extremely successful competition, receiving over 500-700 entries p/w. On-air, alongside our most popular programming we feature user generated content in the form of our kids funniest pet videos! Pet of the Week is broken down into 4 categories Sky, Sea, Ground and Underground. This year kids can upload videos of their Crazy Cats, Bonkers Birds and Doolally dogs alongside their usual photos and funny stories which will all feature online.

How does it work?

On-air and Online opportunity. Online: The brand will takeover the dedicated Pet of the Week site hosted online at Boomerangtv.co.uk. The site's main focus is user generated content, with kids uploading videos, photos and stories about their pets. TV sponsorship will include: Client tag on all POTW promos Mon-Sunday 6am-9pm. 10-15 x 5" tags per day on average= around 105 x 5" tags per week. We can also make a bespoke 'spoof' POTW webdrive spot as per the E1 Free Birds example below, driving kids online to an engaging microsite where kids can find out more about the brand.

Boomerang is the UK's top channel for Kids 4-9 and is #1 for Mums watching with their Kids. Boomerangtv.co.uk receives 250,000 unique users each month spending up to 20 mins each time. On channel we will have a daily hilarious animal mini-show, using video content our viewers have uploaded.
