atmAd is the only provider of advertising on cash machines in the UK. Digital ads are displayed on the cash machine screen before, during and after each transaction. The average customer takes 43 seconds to complete a cash machine transaction. Customers are highly alert and focused on the screen, meaning that brands can enjoy a high quality one-to-one interaction with a customer.

What is the Marketing Objective?

atmAd has advertising available on 9,000+ cash machines in the UK. They can be found at Tesco and Asda, in convenience stores, on the High Street or in travel hubs. In a typical month, these cash machines will perform 60 million transactions and dispense 9 million receipts.

How does it work?

Attract: the screen is showing when consumers approach the cash machine. This screen can be seen by anyone who walks past the cash machine In-Transaction: Once the consumer has put their card in to the machine and made their transaction, the time between the consumer's selection and the cash being dispensed, this screen appears. Thank You: At the end of the transaction, the consumer will see the thank you screen. Branded Receipt: On the front of the receipt, the client can use this space to put a coupon, QR code or general branding to re-iterate the campaign message.
