Blackjack created a showroom for Acer in Terminal 5 Heathrow, to build awareness and drive sales.
What was the Challenge / Background of the Campaign?
Blackjack were asked to build, staff and manage the UK part of the European Acer showroom tour, in Heathrow, Terminal 5. The mission was to promote the Acer name and Acer products. In addition to this Acer wanted raise brand awareness whilst data capturing information from passengers to formulate a better understanding of purchasing habits and product opinion.
What was the Campaign Objective?
The campaign objective was to build brand awareness for Acer, drive sales and build a customer data base for research purposes.
What was the Solution?
Blackjack provided technologically skilled staff to man the stand throughout the airport opening hours. Demonstrations of products soon lead to drivers to stores and online to purchase them there and then; with airport retailers selling out week after week of Acer products.
What were the Results?
As well as successfully driving sales, the campaign realised 7,168 passenger interactions per week and 976 completed questionnaires per week. This was initially a 6 month campaign, but Acer rebooked 3 years in a row proving that the campaign was a huge success.
