What was the Challenge / Background of the Campaign?
Toucan is an independent Brand Activation and Shopper Marketing agency. We specialise in creating engaging, idea driven campaigns for FMCG clients which will get that all important sale. Discovery asked us to create a campaign to excite consumers and get them engaged with the Mexican food category during a trial in Morrison's stores.
What was the Campaign Objective?
Support a key retail period for the brand in Morrisons, to coincide with Mexican Independence Day, through the activation of an exciting store campaign to introduce the category and get shoppers engaged.
What was the Solution?
A tailor-made solution was developed under the banner "Create your own Mexican moment" and linked to both awareness and reward. A combination of store media, customer trial opportunities and consumer promotions delivered a brand message that would result in purchase.
What were the Results?
The campaign delivered over 15,000 entries to the consumer promotion. 36% of the 47.5k consumers who tried hot samples went on to buy, resulting in significant sales uplifts during and post activity.
