Generating referrals for NHS Smokefree in Camden.
What was the Challenge / Background of the Campaign?
StreetPR was approached to tender for the NHS Smokefree contract in Camden, after initially being told that we were too small a business. Happily, we were allowed to submit our operational and executional plans and won the contract over many more experienced and established companies.
What was the Campaign Objective?
Our first campaign was purely referral generation - finding smokers who wanted to quit using the free NHS service. The NHS team followed up the referrals and booked their initial appointments. We improved not only the quantity of new referrals, but also the conversion rate that was previously achieved by another company, resulting in a bottom line improvement of 600%!
What was the Solution?
We moved from purely running referral generation on the street, to taking full control of the initial follow-up phone calls and booking appointments. What started as one contract in Camden, has grown to cover over a dozen London Boroughs and local authorities. We continue to monitor our and improve on our results.
