We enabled our client to use slow selling vehicles to part-pay for an advertising campaign to launch a new model.

What was the Challenge / Background of the Campaign?

A large automobile manufacturer successfully launched a city car into the UK which actually created a new market in the process. One particular model had no roof at all, which was less than ideal for the UK climate and did not sell as well as they hoped. Liquidating these cars would have left the manufacturer with a sizable loss so Astus purchased the cars. Astus paid the client 95% of the on-the-road price in "media credits" which they used, along with cash, to fund poster campaigns supporting other model launches. Find out more...

What was the Campaign Objective?

Astus sold the "problem" models discreetly, without compromising the dealer networks by selling to a holiday property company to ferry guests around the resort complex. The objective of the following media was to sell new cars. The Client got the media they wanted at the price their agency would normally get them - but they paid using cash and media credit.
