A large automobile manufacturer successfully launched a city car into the UK which actually created a new market in the process. One particular model had no roof at all, which was less than ideal for the UK climate and did not sell as well as they hoped.
Liquidating these cars would have left the manufacturer with a sizable loss so Astus purchased the cars. Astus paid the client 95% of the on-the-road price in "media credits" which they used, along with cash, to fund poster campaigns supporting other model launches.
