Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

DIY delivers high impact, cross-platform advertising campaigns using the latest online technology (see Sonic Boom Opportunity), content driven native advertising and content sponsorships to align your brand with the most exciting music content emerging from the Indie/Alternative music sector. DIY breaks acts like Bastille, St Vincent and Chlöe Howl; DIY supports the careers of Foals, Temples and Drenge; and at the same time DIY gets exclusives from huge acts such as Paramore and Biffy Clyro. If it's good DIY finds and follows it, breaking down tribes and setting music free.

What is the Marketing Objective?

For over a decade, DIY has been at the forefront of music discovery. In the age of the curator, DIY breaks down the walls between traditional genres, covering a wide range of diverse and exciting alternative music. We create brand awareness campaigns that harness the power of music and build attitude through the DIY association to your brand, through bespoke curated content and wide-scale amplification across multiple media.

How does it work?

Dependent upon Brand objectives, DIY will either recommend ongoing content such as Festivals, Gigs, Reviews, Features, Breaking News & Awards to integrate with the Brand, or create entirely new content bespoke to the brand, including curated playlists and streams. Content can be uploaded to a Hub hosted on DIY's website, which can be the focal point for the campaign. Traffic will be driven through amplification to DIY's own 1.3m user base, across a further 7m online network managed by DIY's publisher Sonic Media Group and our retargeting platform Sonic Boom.
