Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Brands & event promoters are always looking for ways to better engage their audiences, enhance their venue and overall live concert experience. skignz uses real-time public information accessed through a smartphone, to display a 'virtual sign' above places, people & objects of interest regardless of their location. skignz can also be used to help people navigate their way around the event, regardless of type or location -Stadium, Purpose Built Arena, Country Park, Beach, Field or City Centre. They can even use it to find friends, particularly useful in the large crowds.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Brands are looking at ways to be more relevant to their audiences and with nearly everyone owning and using a smartphone - providing relevant content, where and when they want it, is a dream that can be realised by using skignz! With brands enhancing the audiences experience, in a helpful, useful and interactive way, they are subconsciously placing their brand in the mind of the audience by whispering to them rather than shouting as loud as they can along with all of the other brands in the same vicinity! It is a unique way to raise brand awareness & encourage trial.

How does it work?

Brands engage with skignz to provide the digital platform, but also compliment the of use traditional methods & channels to engage the target audience to download skignz. A special QR code is provided for all literature, website, digital communications & signage, promoting the 'skignz environment' on at the selected venue(s). Above/Below the line and social media all contribute to the skignz buzz on & around the event. Once a person has the app on their mobile device, they can access any skignz content wherever it's provided! They can even contribute with their own!

Who's used it in the past?

Teesside University has been using it since September 2013 across their campuses in order to engage their students, staff and visitors with varying content in addition to providing a simple way to navigate around the area! skignz was recently launched on a Golf Course in Las Vegas and is currently in development for a range of uses with companies across the globe. skignz's unique technology allows brands to use it as a gimmick once or twice, but also as a platform that they can develop over time to continue to amaze and inform their specific audience(s).
