Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy offers a sponsor the opportunity to reach over 1 million ABC1 families in the UK. We are the largest independent cricket academy in the UK, operating in over 70 venues, with 6,000 children attending each summer. The academies run for 5 consecutive days during the school holidays, and at each, there is a visit from Andrew Flintoff or a current or former international cricketer. Each child gets a sponsor branded cricket shirt and all visits from current or ex players are in sponsor branded kit, ensuring a great media opportunity.

What is the Marketing Objective?

We offer the opportunity to brand participants kit, coach clothing and have signage up at all venues. There is a pre and post camp media campaign, where branded imagery can be placed. All children are given workbooks which can be branded and there's the opportunity to put items in going home bags. We communicate with our database each month, with all ecomms being branded. Our access of international cricketers at each venue is a unique opportunity for a sponsor.

How does it work?

The sponsor becomes 'In partnership with the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy'. As detailed above, the sponsor has branding on coaches kit, children's shirts, all digital and physical literature. We also offer an in-house PR campaign to generate media around the Academy. Media examples can be sent through to a prospective sponsor if requested.

Access to ABC1 families. Our venues are predominantly at independent schools and we offer a unique access to that market. Now firmly established as the biggest independent children's cricket academy in the UK, this project will grow further over the next 2 years. We currently have over 6,000 children attending in 2014 and this is set to grow to 8,000 in 2015. We have a 250k database and we now have access to 1 million children through our network of primary schools.
