Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

With 2,500+ rowers and paddlers competing for 35 trophies, over 21.6 miles, The Race, London's River Marathon, has become the greatest event of its kind in Europe. It is a challenge to find the UK Traditional Boat Champions and an opportunity to raise awareness for your chosen charity; a team building exercise; a fun family day out and a weekend of festivities. It brings together rowing enthusiasts from around the world to compete. By sponsoring The Great River Race you will have the opportunity to raise your company's profile within the community and your industry.

What is the Marketing Objective?

The Great River Race is an excellent opportunity to engage with communities along the river's course, particularly at the Start and Finish of the Race. The media coverage of the Race also affords our sponsors the opportunity to captivate much larger audiences, across the capital and in some cases, the world. The Title Sponsor will have the opportunity to name the Race's official charity from 2016 and include that Charity on branding collateral and press releases. There are few limitations as to how to integrate your corporate social responsibility commitments.

How does it work?

With four levels of sponsorship to choose from, the Race has a proposal to suit every budget. The Title Sponsor Package is flexible and includes; Race Title Branding, Opportunity to brand all collateral used in connection with the event, Sponsor and present the Main Race Trophy. The Gold Sponsor package includes; Sponsor and present a Race Trophy, Access to Gold Hospitality Area at the Start and Finish lines. Silver Sponsor package includes; VIP Access to the Beer Tent and an opportunity for your employees to join the Race at a discounted rate.

Who's used it in the past?

Previous sponsors/competing corporates include; De Beers, Disney, J.P. Morgan, Gumtree, PayPal, Ebay, Fuller's, Societe Generale, Sky, BNP Paribas, Barclays, BBC and Savills.

Features / Benefits

The Title Sponsor will have the opportunity to name the Race's official charity from 2016 and include that Charity on branding collateral and press releases. Our sponsors have the option of being as involved as they would like in pre-Race promotions. We can help you create releases for use through your current PR channels or include you in targeted Race promotion. With local newspapers and magazines with a readership of over 1.5 million combined, we can include your company logo increasing brand awareness in the local community.
