Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?
Sustainable Life is an innovative new initiative designed to raise awareness & understanding of environmental sustainability. Played directly into Schools and Colleges, Sustainable Life reaches over half a million individuals every-day. The initiative involves lesson plans, short films, workshops and online programs. The first of its kind within the environmental sector, this initiative provides brands with the opportunity to align themselves with the project, improving their brand awareness and value amongst current and future generations of consumers.
How does it work?
Sustainable Life works as follows:
1. Teachers conduct lessons on Sustainability (9 topics) with students viewing films and completing worksheets/workshops on issues ranging from Climate Change to Carbon Footprints.
2. Having completed lessons, students evaluate CO2 emissions of school's ICT via online calculator
3. Students conduct fundraising activities to fully offset School ICT impact
4. Donations go to specialist offsetter 'Carbon Footprint'
As a result, students have greater understanding andstrive to positively influence decisions in the future
