Meet the angels

We have a fantastic team of multi-disciplined practitioners, both full time and part time.

From Angie Moxham, our founder and CEO who has over 30 years’ experience in PR and Influencer Relations, and Sarah Perry, co-owner and MD, who has 25 years working in publishing; to digital and social first consultants, creatives, strategists, media hound publicists and data analysts.

Angie Moxham

Arch Angel of the North

Angie is one of the best known female PR gurus in the industry.  An English Lit grad of St. John’s College, Oxford, she started her career in radio as a commercials producer before moving into news and features presentation.

She has worked with everyone from Microsoft, Coca Cola, WRAP and Sainsbury’s, to United Biscuits, Superdrug, Starbucks and Disney to name a few.

Angie has owned and run two award-winning agencies – Le Fevre Communications and 3 Monkeys – which won just about every award under the sun. 3 Monkeys was one of the UK’s most successful mid-sized independent PR agencies before Angie sold it to the Edelman Group in 2016.

Known for her love of working on challenger brands or brands trying to rediscover their mojo, Angie is a passionate practitioner who insists on nailing the right strategy before going big on creative ideas.  What floats her boat most, however, is bottom line outcomes, thanks to brilliant outputs.

Angie set up The Fourth Angel in 2018 and believes that the Good.Will.Out.

Sarah Perry

Sarah is our angel of networking. She has over 20 years media experience, including creating & implementing business growth strategy, building teams and launching media brands and services into highly competitive markets.

She has enjoyed success within large Global organisations such as AOL, as well as UK market leading publishers and broadcasters such as The Express Newspaper Group, Emap Plc and smaller start up business such as Goviral online content distribution and Background Creative Counsel.

She and Angie met at what Sarah does best, hobnobbing with the best people and connecting them with others they should be working with. She supports our clients with partnerships, sponsorships and helping us to find the right brands and partners to work with.

Her experience in media has been far reaching including digital content creation & distribution, technology platforms, print, mobile, broadcast & experiential media. She isn’t afraid of a challenge or taking herself out of a comfort zone. She has developed a network of high-profile client & agency contacts both in the UK and Internationally.

Alex Macdonald

Alex is a passionate communications strategist and marketeer with an innate commercial sensibility.

Alex has worked in both global media agencies such as HAVAS, across tier one accounts such as Uber, Emirates and EDF and also in independent experiential and brand strategy businesses like Background Creative Counsel.

It is at Background where Alex’s flair for and understanding of current cultural trends and influences, plus his ‘crystal ball’ thinking on future trends, led him to deliver some very cutting edge campaign solutions. By pulling in some of the worlds’ best cultural minds to answer each brief differently, unique and ambitious projects followed.

He has worked on successful projects for Airbnb, Pernod Ricard, LG Electronics, Under Armour, Sik Silks, Absolut Vodka, Mulberry and the relaunch of The Face in the UK and it’s subsequent global event experience in partnership with the Soho House Group.

Alice Hamer

Alice joined The Fourth Angel permanently after a successful internship helping the team roll out a range of social media campaigns and securing coverage in national and lifestyle titles.

She found her love for Public Relations working at a PR firm specialising in Events for Commercial Property Firms throughout her degree and after graduation. Following this she spent a year working and travelling around Australia and other areas of the Southern Hemisphere. On her return home Alice embarked on a qualification in Professional Digital Marketing through the CIM to support her marcomms knowledge.

With a strong sense of affability Alice aims to develop and maintain relationships across different media outlets and socials to secure coverage for a variety of clients. With ambitious goals for a career in PR the opportunity to become an Angel and learn from people with such experience is extremely exciting.

Becky Westaway

Golden Angel

Becky is our Golden Angel and has over 13 years of experience in the PR industry, working across multiple sectors and is known for delivering creative and thought-provoking campaigns, that stay authentic to the brand and deliver to the bottom line. Over her career she’s also worked both agency side and in house, making her uniquely placed to truly understand the needs of the client and their stakeholders. Pushing PR further up the priority ladder, ensuring they’re always part of the original brief and not the marketing add on, drives her thinking.  

Becky first met Angie right at the beginning of her career, spending three and a half years in the jungle working on some of their highest-profile clients including 3 Mobile, Post Office and Skype. Since then she’s worked for multiple agencies and brands including Canon Inc, H&K Strategies, Pizza Express, Intel, LG and most recently Avon Cosmetics. She’s meticulous when it comes to the detail and known for being a stickler for quality. If the work doesn’t say something exemplary about the brand, it doesn’t go out the door. Oh yeah, and did she mention that she’s delivered two front-page stories in her career, doubled the ROI value of her some of her biggest clients and briefed global boards on PR strategies?

Cai Wilshaw

Cai is an events, media, and comms specialist having worked for the past few years in the media industry. As well as being an Angel, Cai is also a programme editor for The Economist, and a contributor to Forbes and the BBC on diverse leaders and US politics.

He was until recently Head of External Affairs at PinkNews, the world’s most-read LGBT+ publisher. Cai led the events and research, growing revenues x4 in two years, and spearheaded the comms strategy. He was responsible for confirming speakers including Keir Starmer and Jeremy Corbyn, Michael Gove, Matt Hancock, Penny Mordaunt and Arlene Foster.

He has also worked at The Economist where he was the content editor for some of The Economist’s largest summits including the Sustainability Summit, Pride and Prejudice LGBT+ Summit, and the Global Financial Forum which he led while on secondment to Dubai.

Caroline Antscherl

Caroline is our Angel of Influence. She first met Angie when she worked at 3 Monkeys, before that she was in the world of TV working as a producer and director on documentaries and reality shows including I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of Here, Paddington Green and Lad’s Army.

Once entering the world of PR Caroline became a publicist specialist, she hits the phones and builds relationships with journalists across broadcast, national, consumer and online media.

She has also been more recently before becoming an Angel, a celebrity partnership manager as well as publicist, working at Age UK and Tommy’s the baby charity. She took Tommy’s from paying large fees to work with celebrities, to creating a celebrity ambassador programme to get the celebrities to work with Tommy’s as their chosen charity to support.

Now she is an Angel, she works across a variety of clients in consumer and B2B, landing coverage and securing key influencers for events.

Emily Morrison

Emily is a consumer lifestyle PR specialist, with a passion for media relations. She has worked across FMCG, beauty and health and has developed incredibly strong relationships with journalists across national and consumer lifestyle media.

She has worked on Costa Coffee, executing the strategy to launch the Costa Clever Cup, which has been shortlisted for a 2020 SABRE Diamond Award. Emily has also run the day-to-day press office for clients such as Freesat, Iceland supermarket and Blue Diamond Almonds. Most recently she has also joined the Prezzo team to help with announcing the reopening of their restaurants across the UK.

Emily has also worked on content-led campaigns, including AXA PPP healthcare’s Best You campaign, which saw her travel to Wales with Katie Piper to do a photoshoot in the freezing cold sea, as well as create a podcast series with Vue Entertainment with the likes of Richard Curtis and Ellie Taylor!

Toby Aston

Toby joined The Fourth Angel after completing a Master’s in broadcast journalism and a degree in biomedical sciences. With this combination he has a deep understanding of the media landscape, the world of science, and the point at which the two overlap.  

Toby has wide-ranging interests including business strategy, finance, and geo-politics. He has worked as a freelance investment writer for The Motley Fool UK and as a correspondent for Snapchat TV show Need To Know during its coverage of the 2019 UK general election.

The Age of Enlightenment brought knowledge of all kinds together and provided a platform for new and exciting ideas to flourish. Toby applies the spirit of that movement to the field of marketing and communications. He believes in a rigorous approach that takes nothing for granted, leaving no stone unturned in the search for compelling stories and messages.

Alicia Thompson

Driven and passionate, I am always seeking opportunities to take my client’s campaigns to the next level.

A social guru, my passion for social was born through self-love of the power of the platforms and years of experience within the sector. Also working on influencer strategies, event management and campaign planning, my helicopter view allows me to draw on multiple elements to deliver successful campaigns.

Working with brands from Nissan and Renault to RAGT Seeds and Streamlight, my experience enables me to help brands from all different sectors grow.

When I am not engrossed in my love for marketing, you will usually find me at the gym or enjoying a G&T with my friends.

Fran O'Leary

Fran O’Leary is a Co-founder of Lodestone and the Director responsible for Client Services. She has over 8 years’ experience at board level advising clients in a wide range of sectors on strategy, public affairs, corporate communications, corporate change programmes and M&A. She has advised Young’s Seafood, Tangle Teezer, the British Poultry Council and many other organisations.

She started her career in the media and she has written for The Times, The Cambridge Evening News, the Fabian Review, Demos Quarterly and magazines. During her time in TV, she made Bafta nominated programmes for ITV, Channel 4, five and other broadcasters. Prior to becoming a Director of a city based communications consultancy, she worked in a policy and research related role within Government.


Hannah England

Hannah is a brand communications specialist with over six years experience, working predominantly with clients in the FMCG sector. She specialises in media and influencer relations, project management, and event management, with demonstrated strength in delivering national and lifestyle coverage weekly, whilst also delivering events for a variety of clients, both within the UK and globally.

She worked with NIVEA, managing the day-to-day press office, launching new products and delivering a variety of events. She helped broker NIVEA’s partnership with London Fashion Week, positioning the brand’s newest deodorant launch as the must-have backstage beauty essential at LFW, helping to keep fashion fresh behind the scenes and on the catwalk.

She has also worked with a number of celebrities and influencers who have acted as brand ambassadors, including Daisy Lowe, Vogue Williams, Jada Sezer, Julie Montague and Zanna Van Dijk.

Sedem Ama

Sedem is a PR and comms specialist with experience across the UK and North of European markets. Having started her career in the media industry, she has since evolved into a meticulous project manager that has worked on consumer and B2B activations for brands including NIVEA, AOL, Unilever’s food brands and Lloyds Bank.

Her love for the lifestyle sector has enabled Sedem to deliver a range of creative award-winning projects such as Vauxhall Motors’ ‘Maddox Yellow’ campaign. Much of Sedem’s most recent work has also included a focus on talent and influencer engagement across multi-channel platforms to create a larger brand presence.

Sedem’s interest in wellness also stems from her passion for sports, as she is an athlete who has won national titles as active amateur for England Boxing.

Sedem has joined the Angels after leading campaigns for AXA PPP healthcare, BT and ADT Fire & Security, the latter which was shortlisted for the SABRE Industry Sector Award for Consumer Goods for its ‘Darker Nights’  activation.

Martha Dalton

Martha Dalton is a Co-founder and Managing Director of Lodestone. She works closely with senior leaders to deliver high impact communications campaigns. A former Director of a City communications consultancy, Martha has worked on issues at the centre of national debate and advised clients in the UK, Europe and USA. Her relevant experience is working for the NHS, 20+ Universities, Tangle Teezer and a European health & wellbeing campaign.

She has advised a number of political campaigns most recently as Comms Director for Lisa Nandy’s campaign for Labour Leader and co-founded the grassroots organisation RegistHERtoVote. Listed in PR Week’s 30 under 30 2016, she is a member of the IoD’s 99 Club for young entrepreneurs, an elected member of the PRCA’s PR Council & Public Affairs Board. Martha sits on the Prince’s Trust Built Environment Leadership Group and is a Trustee of the Institute for the Future of Work.

Rachel McClelland

Rachel McClelland is the founder of Planet Shine, a newly-launched online platform telling inspirational stories about the world we live in – and how to save it. She is also our resident Angel for ensuring we and our clients are doing our bit for planet earth.

As well as promoting environmental and human rights, Planet Shine works with brands such as Universal Music, Quorn Foods, and Beyond Meat to deliver brand content and create lasting sustainability strategies.

Prior to founding Planet Shine, Rachel spent fifteen years in film and television building her own production company, working with some of the biggest names in entertainment including Jay-Z, Naomi Campbell, and Calvin Harris.

Alex Connock

Alex is our video marketing expert, with a PhD titled ‘Optimising video for e-commerce,’ which sounds boring until you consider that e-commerce is a $2.7 trillion global industry, and video is key to results. His latest production company is Missile.

Before that he created and/or run production companies Ten Alps and  Endemol Shine North and made videos for many brands from AO and Diageo, the LADbible and the UK government, as well as delivering TV to everyone from BBC to Channel 4. He’s a BAFTA voter, lectures at Oxford and the National Film and Television School, is entrepreneur-in-residence at posh European business school INSEAD, and is on the board of UNICEF UK.

Iona Rangeley-Wilson

Iona joined The Fourth Angel a year after graduating from Oxford with an English degree. In that year, she interned as a journalist for a magazine in Reykjavík and kicked off her PR-related work doing internal marketing for a school. She hopes to apply her interest in marketing to a wider range of industries at The Fourth Angel.

One important aspect of PR is telling stories, and this is what Iona does best. She secured a three-book deal with HarperCollins straight out of university, and her first children’s book will come out in November 2021.

Iona is excited to kickstart her career in PR alongside her writing, and to apply her creative skillset in a new but equally compelling environment.

Anthony Barry

Anthony is an experienced, talented and successful marketing professional with a reputation for consistently delivering results-driven, integrated and innovative campaigns.

Having worked with a range of big and small brands both in the UK and internationally, he is known and respected for challenging communications ideas, embracing new ways of using data, media, creative and messaging to build brands and sales.

Anthony has a well-deserved reputation for integrating ideas across multi-channels.

He knows that it’s essential to truly understand customer journeys, their decision-making, and apply those insights to effective marketing strategies without getting bogged down in data but using it to execute informed and brave creative work.

Working with brands, from start-ups to household names, building their profiles whilst implementing projects and campaigns is all part of his job – bringing fresh ideas to life, reaching and engaging new audiences.

Always listening and looking for insights to find out what makes them stand apart, his qualities have been appreciated by Clients like Barclaycard, BMW, Burberry, Sky, Virgin Radio, Jordans, Tetra Pak and Dentsu.

Robert Nisbet

Robert is our Chief Storytelling Officer to helps companies shape their narrative in the media – in good times and bad – as well as making sure spokespeople are ‘camera-ready’ for interviews.  He also advises on public affairs, from his years in Westminster as first a lobby correspondent and then a lobbyist for the rail industry, where he was also the national broadcast spokesman for three eventful years.

Robert started his career in journalism. He was a television correspondent and presenter for the BBC and Sky News, based in Los Angeles, Washington DC, Brussels and London.

Robert’s specialisms started with culture and ended with politics, with a period as a war correspondent in Syria.  He’s certainly battle-hardened: he was Sky News’ Brexit correspondent around the time of the referendum and the immediate aftermath.

Robert is on the Advisory Board of the highly-regarded Reform think tank and a Leader in Residence at the University of Central Lancashire.

Susan Cole

Susan is our Angel of Empowerment and comes with almost two decades of experience, specialising in consumer brand communications.

During that time, she has led campaigns for a broad range of clients spanning multiple sectors – from global and European programmes to leading UK brands and ambitious start-ups. As well as supporting high profile clients such as Mars UK, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Laurent-Perrier Champagne, Roadchef, Susan has played a pivotal role in the launch and development of progressive challenger brands such as Black Sheep Coffee, Nakd and Bottlegreen helping to disrupt the market and drive consumer engagement. Susan loves empowering clients and the team to achieve their best, reach their potential and feel supported and confident. Working collaboratively and in partnership with clients and colleagues, she enjoys uncovering thought-provoking strategies and creative solutions that are honest, intelligent, and meaningful.Prior to becoming an Angel Susan headed the lifestyle, food and drink division at the specialist agency, Storm Communications. Previous to that she spent four and a half years at Ketchum.
