2010 Partnership opps with the Torbay Week sailing regatta

Target ABC1s through partnering with the Torbay Sailing Regatta run over 6 days. This is a highly targeted event.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

This is a totally sailing-orientated regatta in Torbay, South Devon. The four sailing clubs of the bay join together annually to organise one of the best events on the south coast. In 2008, three national dingy championships formed part of the regatta; in 2010 the IRC championships, the J Cup racing and the Impala championships will all be incorporated into proceedings. The event is open to boats of all classes, including PY cruisers, sportsboats, keelboats and dinghy classes. During the event there is plenty of onshore entertainment for competitors and spectators alike.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Partnership of Torbay Week 2010 will provide brand exposure not only at the event but through coverage in various media. This is an excellent opportunity to build awareness of your brand with an upmarket audience with a high disposable income.

How does it work?

Partnership sponsorship of the 2010 event is available (headline sponsorship has already been sold). The event lasts for 6 days but the run-up, including leaflets at National Boat Shows, advertising, banners, posters etc will start in the new year, giving the sponsor 8 months of pre-exposure. The partner's logo will be featured with the event logo and distributed in yachting magazines and websites, as well as all printed material. There are also opportunities for hospitality, sampling & experiential work.

Ocean BMW - are the headline sponsors for 2009.

Features / Benefits

At Torquay harbourside there is an area of hard standing for any promotional vehicles, with the chance to make sales. A marquee is available for sponsor's events with bar and food available for networking and impressing new and existing clients. A luxury yacht trip to watch the sailing in the bay can be built into the package, as well as flags & decals with the logo on boats.
