Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The Absolute Radio family of stations is made up of Absolute Radio, Absolute Classic Rock, Absolute Radio Country, Absolute Radio 60s, Absolute Radio 70s, Absolute Radio 80s, Absolute Radio 90s, Absolute Radio 00s, Absolute Radio 10s and Absolute Radio 20s. From landmark documentaries and intimate live sessions to festival exclusives and specialist programming, Absolute Radio is commercial radio's most ambitious and innovative brand. We're famous for being the home of Dave Berry, Jason Manford, Frank Skinner and the No Repeat Guarantee.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Opportunity to build awareness of your brand and drive a call to action with Absolute Radio's "Reluctant Adult" audience. Absolute's listeners used to love going to gigs, football and comedy nights when they were young and carefree. Now, they have mortgages, careers, families and responsibilities. That doesn't mean they've lost their sense of fun, but it means other priorities have taken hold. They're opinion formers in their group and they're still passionate about music, using the radio station as a means of discovering new bands or re-discovering albums.

On-air and online advertising is available with Absolute Radio, including show sponsorships and online takeovers. There are a number of platforms available including digital, instream and live events. Through our InStream technology, advertisers are able to target ads based on age, gender and location.

Ground-breaking technology allows listeners to choose the music they want to hear on the breakfast show. From Absolute Radio 60s to 10s, Classic Rock and Country, there's nine options. Put simply, one button is pressed and nine different songs play out across our stations. Meaning that when the microphone re-opens, there's no jarring and all of the services unite for the link. This technology is also used on The Hometime Show every weekday from 4pm. Our No Repeat Guarantee, means you'll never hear the same song twice between 9am and 5pm, 5 days a week.
