Random House Children's Publishers wanted to promote the new book Teardrop by bestselling author Lauren Kate to teen girls in a cost efficient and effective way.

What was the Campaign Objective?

'We knew that Teardrop would be incredibly popular. Our challenge was to ensure that fans of the Fallen series knew about the book release as well as to encourage new readers to sample the book. What was the Solution?

The direct distribution of over 25,000 Book Samplers containing a chapter of the book as well as a competition to win an Amazon Kindle Fire.

What were the Results?

The campaign reached 25,000 girls aged 11-16 years over a one week period and received some fantastic feedback from the pupils and teachers alike, 'The girls really liked the handouts and have already read a few of the Lauren Kate books. I think the design was very good as well as the sizing, which allowed the girls to put the leaflets into their planners' Davison CE Girls High School. Additional comments and photos were captured in the post campaign report delivered to the client alongside a list of participating secondary schools.
