CASE STUDY: Flip Mino HD advertise within iGIZMO and Monkey

To introduce the Mino HD video camera from Flip Video, Dennis Publishing created a campaign spanning across iGIZMO & Monkey

What was the Challenge / Background of the Campaign?

The brief objective was to increase awareness, drive traffic and to sell units of the new Mino HD video camera from Flip Video to the UK market. Targeting 14 - 25 year old youth market and families 28-45. The original request was for iGIZMO audience only but a strong creative pitch over both iGIZMO and Monkey secured the business.

What was the Campaign Objective?

To increase awareness, drive traffic and drive sales.

What was the Solution?

We designed and created a one page advertorial in line with Flip Mino HD promotional activity by using real life BMX, free running and skateboarding youths in the creative. The creative was designed to educate each audience and drive sales of product but was moulded to fit the iGIZMO and Monkey audience.

What were the Results?

The Monkey execution had a stronger focus on the youth market with the creative having clear identification of the Flips ability to record content whilst out and about. The iGIZMO page had more detail on the technical capability of the Flip, it's HD capabilities and a more detailed specification that the iGIZMO audience is more familiar with.

What were the Key Learnings of this Campaign?

The video created for this campaign is one of the best pieces of video content Dennis has created for a client. So much so Flip licensed the use of the video, £5000 net, on
