Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Worcester Racecourse offers opportunities for innovative marketing to over 50,000 annual visitors as well as satellite TV viewers, through race sponsorship, racecard advertising, banner, jumps and trackside advertising. Very reasonable rates for whole season bookings make this an extremely attractive proposition already proven to achieve successful brand awareness at very competitive prices. The town centre is easily accessible, located very close to the M5 motorway and main line stations.

What is the Marketing Objective?

The marketing objective at the Racecourse is to raise brand awareness to a countrywide audience through sponsored races featured on satellite television and to a captive audience at the racecourse through on-site jumps and banner advertising, sponsorship of a position such as the Winning Post and racecard advertising. Racecards are often taken home as souvenirs which guarantees that placing a day or season advert in our racecard gives your promotion a life well beyond the race day. Owners, trainers, corporate and restaurant guests are each given a racecard automatically.

How does it work?

The key to success is repetition of the advertised product at a number, if not all of the 16 meetings over the 6 month season. For this reason emphasis is placed on the benefits of booking multiple sponsored races, and a whole season of banner site advertising, jump advertising board, and / or a full page in the racecard. We also offer hospitality in private boxes with stunning views of the racecourse, in private marquees beside the parade ring and in the viewing restaurant overlooking the course and the river Severn.
