Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The Christmas season is a key time for radio listening with people engaging with the media to immerse themselves in the festive spirit. Christmas music is a real opportunity for listeners to emotionally connect with the radio station and through this opportunity the sponsor. Food & eating is also a real focus of the festive period. Smooth Radio is looking to integrate this into its output and is giving a sponsor the opportunity to 'own' the features, including interaction with the DJs and online activity. All on air and online activity would be branded for the sponsor.

What is the Marketing Objective?

To align a brand with this key seasonal output and emotionally connect with listeners through the 'specialness' of Christmas programming.

How does it work?

Content online and on air would be fully branded with the sponsor's messages. For sponsorship of 'Christmas Toonees' the package includes at least 5 songs per day from 1st December - 14th December and then one song per hour from 14th December. This will also be combined with an online poll to find listeners favourite Christmas song. Once a listener has voted, this can be tied in with a specific Christmas offer from the sponsor.
