Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Rock School is a Nationwide search for the best school band in the UK. All entries are under 18 and the lucky winning band in each region receives £3,000 of music equipment for their school and a once in a lifetime chance to play to thousands of Xfm listeners and open one of Xfm's regional Winter Wonderlands in London, Manchester or Scotland alongside the country's top bands (depending on which station won on e.g London winner plays in London).

What is the Marketing Objective?

Sponsorship is traditionally for brand awareness, however, this is a short, heavily weighted on air campaign enabling you to incorporate a call to action campaign. Everything from brand positioning statements to price messages can be featured in this opportunity with the additional prospect and added exposure of a heavy online presence and branded text bouncebacks. The competition is running across the whole Xfm Network.

How does it work?

There will be trails and live reads across the day every day of the week, heavily weighted in Breakfast giving your brand constant exposure and effectively owning the stations for 6 weeks. The competition is in it's 3rd year and has gained a massive following, previously just confined to Xfm London, this year it is running across the Xfm Network in London, Manchester and Scotland allowing you to reach a National audience in key areas across the country.
