Murder, mystery and mayhem on the English Riviera in the birthplace of Agatha Christie, the most famous crime-writer of all time
The annual Agatha Christie Festival on the English Riviera - Torquay, Paignton and Brixham - will reach its 6th year in 2010, a year that also marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of the crime writer. The Agatha Christie Festival is the world's biggest celebration of the life and works of the author, and fans come from all over the world to share in the festive atmosphere.
Sponsors will gain national and international recognition (if desired) when involved with this project.
Sponsors will gain brand awareness, as well as brand association with a respected literary festival that has an element of fun twisted into it via the murder mystery theme. The event has the full backing of Chorion, who manage the Agatha Christie literary estate as part of their Crime Section, and of Mathew Prichard, Christie's grandson, who is keen for the festival to achieve its full potential in terms of visitor numbers. Current numbers are approx 1000 visitors, although press coverage has come in at £555,000 in August and September 2009.`
Sponsorship opportunities will include product promotion throughout the festival and the opportunity to interact with a literary audience of certain market segmentation. More details to follow.
The festival has been a partnership of public and private bodies in Torbay, and has not been sponsored as a whole before, although individual events have been sponsored by Hooper and Wollen solicitors, based in Torquay and solicitors to the Agatha Christie family. In order for the festival to grow, we are now seeking high level sponsorship.
Benefits will include product promotion opportunities, client networking opportunities, branding within the festival logo and promotion on all literature, posters, banners throughout Devon and beyond and mentions on press coverage.
