Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Sponsorship of the double Mobo Award winner Steve Sutherland in his show on Saturdays 9pm-11pm and Sunday 9pm-1am. Sutherland brings the best R&B, upfront HIP HOP, and the hottest, most exclusive urban flavours with a host of special guests. Steve has released over eleven albums across the last six years as part of the legendary Twice As Nice series. The show is a network opportunity.

What is the Marketing Objective?

This is a unique opportunity for a brand to attach itself to the values of the Galaxy Steve Sutherland shows - young, cool, urban and on the cutting edge of R&B / HIP HOP. This sponsorship can take a brand to a young, trendy urban demograph in an environment that listeners trust and feel comfortable in, being lead by a credible DJ they trust.

How does it work?

Branded trails and live reads will run throughout each week of the sponsorship encouraging people to check out the show. Sponsor Credits with client straplines will run throughout each show. Branding will also appear on the Steve Sutherland section on the Galaxy websites. On air inventory: (per week per station) 15 x 30 pre-recorded trailers Weds to Sun (05.00 - 05.00). 5 x presenter live reads per week per station (Weds - Sun). 3 x sponsor credits per hour per show (Sat 21:00 - 23:00 Sun 21:00 - 01:00).

Who's used it in the past?

Duracell, The RAF. Hugo Boss was heavily involved with the show promoting Urban range and hunt for an Urban DJ through features and live reads.
