Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

City Showcase Finding The Future is the UK's leading lifestyle festival for new music that takes place every May in London's West End. It reaches a wide demographic but its ideal target group is the teenage and young student market. Spotlight London focuses on new and up-and-coming artists who are just under the radar of the mainstream music industry or who are signed but not getting mainstream exposure.

What is the Marketing Objective?

City Showcase attracts diverse audiences due to its many unusual venues, its broad range of music genres and its inclusion of daytime gigs. It gives you a unique opportunity for your brand to engage and interact with those elusive hard to reach customers. There is the potential to undertake sampling throughout the festival and will be a key event leading up to the 2012 Olympics.

How does it work?

City Showcase helps emerging artists lay the foundations for a successful and long-term career with local community auditions, workshop, mentored support and networking opportunities. It give brands a unique opportunity to tap into the emerging music scene across major cities from a 'grass roots' level. It has helped to launch the careers of some of the most famous performers, including, Keane, Razorlight and Amy Winehouse. There is a new Bollywood Stage scheduled for Leicester Square.
