Exclusive sponsorship of one of the England and Wales Cricket Board's most established Grassroots national club competitions.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The U15 National Club Championship began in 1977 and is integral to the England and Wales Cricket Board Player Pathway. In 2008 1750 recreational cricket clubs took part, an increase of 46 on 2007. This represents a total participation figure of c. 25,000 U15 players. The competition is structured into County Competitions (average of 43 clubs per County), Regional Finals (max of 12 clubs) and Finals Day, where the 4 regional winners compete. The ECB are currently offering official sponsorship of the National Club U15 Twenty20 Cup.

What is the Marketing Objective?

To build awareness of your brand through access to 1750 recreational cricket clubs, appropriate mention in ECB Press Releases, National and Regional press coverage plus competition updates on bespoke webpage.

How does it work?

The sponsor will receive title accreditation - "Official Sponsor of the National Club U15 Twenty20 Cup" and will be entitled to appoint representative to present medals and trophies at County, Regional & National Finals Day. Plus bespoke branding, link from dedicated competition webpage on ecb.co.uk to sponsor's website and 1 x sponsor ad spot in ECB TwelfthMan Extra p.a. (e-newsletter with 100k reach). There is also the potential for England player appearances.

Who's used it in the past?

Brands who have sponsored the competition in the past include Nationwide (2008), Portman (2003-07), Sun Bank (2001-02), Sun Life of Canada (1985-2000), Debenham Tewson & Chinnocks (1983-84) and Lord's Taverner's (1977-82).
