"A Night Out" gives an insight into young adult's drinking and socialising patterns. Describing their "typical" night out.
This is a piece of research conducted to gain better understanding of Galaxy listeners' attitudes and behaviours to alcohol. 'A Night Out' delves into a number of key discussion points surrounding the drinks market with regards to young people, such as alcohol consumption, attitudes towards drinking and awareness of safety initiative.
To give an insight into the potentially sensitive area of alcohol and socialising from the perspective of 18 - 34 year old Galaxy listeners, a large proportion iof which actively drink alcohol. Galaxy broadcasts in Birmingham, Yorkshire, The North East and Manchester.
The survey was run via the Galaxy websites and 2315 listeners responded to the queationaire. The results were then tabulated and checked by our Research department and trends were analysed.
This study has been run twice by Chrysalis (first time was June 04 and then February 05). This study has received positive coverage in the bar and club trade press and in Campaign magazine.
The survey findings give an insight into alcohol consumption from the point of view of the 18 - 34 year old ,as represented by the Galaxy listener. The findings give a useful insight for any client involved in the alcohol sector.
