Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Advertising with the Guardian & Observer iPad edition delivers great stand out and impact for advertisers. Sponsorship is also available in addition to standard ad impressions.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Great for branding, direct response and building awareness.

How does it work?

A combination of ad impressions and interstitials and inline ads. Interstitials are full page ads that users are served as they scroll through the sections/pages of the iPad app. Inline ads are positioned amongst the content as small fractional ads - these look similar to fractional ads that would appear within the printed paper. The iPad week runs Mon - Sun.

Who's used it in the past?

The iPad edition is suitable for a wide range of advertisers across all categories in exactly the same way that a newspaper in print would be. Past advertiser/sponsors include Channel 4, Fiat, Orange mobile and Ford.

Features / Benefits

The Guardian & Observer iPad edition carries a maximum of 5 advertisers a week (inclusive of sponsor), delivering a minimum 20% share or voice. There is a minimum of 60,000 ad impressions per advertiser, a mean interstitial click through rate of 2.4% and mean inline click through rate of 0.4%.
