O2, one of Britain's favourite mobile phone companies, wanted to grow its sales of its SIM only contracts

Your M & S for Business introduced an incentive campaign for O2 customers, rewarding them with M&S gift vouchers and E-Gift Cards with each SIM only contract that customers signed up for. M&S gift vouchers were viewed as the ideal customer incentive to drive recruitment of people buying the SIM Only Contract.

What were the Results?

Once O2 introduced an M&S incentive and during the first 3 months over 20,000 customers were signed up as part of the M&S promotion and now O2 see M&S has a long term partner to drive customer growth.

What were the Key Learnings of this Campaign?

Reward and recognition are key to improving the performance and behaviour of clients employees and business partners. M&S gift vouchers are an extremely effective motivational tool and have a proven success rate. Other Telecoms brands which utilise Your M&S for Business Incentives include Orange, T-mobile and BT.
