It is the very first awards show recognising the best UK/London comedy Podcast talent - both new and established. LBC 97.3 FM will invite comedians to submit their Podcast and listeners can cast their votes online for their favourite. This a new idea which offers a sponsor the opportunity to be involved with an engaging and innovative award, celebrating the best in new and existing comedy talent. The activity will run for a month

The objective of the Comedy Podcast awards is to come up with a new and innovative way of showcasing new comedy talents. This will create user generated content from the listeners and help to drive listener’s involvements and interaction. The concept creates content which is accessible when listeners want to consume it, creating longevity to the activity beyond the month long on air campaign.

Week 1: Podcast submission drive via live reads, plus 1 day mobile recording studio Week 2: Podcast submission drive via live reads and promos Week 3: Vote online for your favourite Podcast form the shortlist of entries via promos and live reads. There will be an incentive to take part in the voting process by entering all those actively involved into a draw to win a prize. Week 4: The top 5 podcasts (with back up reserve list) will go to the grand final and perform their work in front of an audience and panel of comedy judges (In top comedy venue) Prizes - Cash etc

This is a brand new concept, and will allow whoever gets involved with the idea to have "first user" advantage. A great way to associate brands with fresh talent/fresh idea.
