Technopop is the UK's newest educational festival set to welcome 100,000 visitors (predominately 14-18 yrs) to the Olympic Park

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Technopop is a fresh and exciting pop-up science, tech and innovation festival aimed at getting young people (up to 19 yrs) excited and engaged with STEM sectors. The event is designed to be a fully immersive exhibition with an interactive 4-week programme of educational workshops and events. With terrific content-driven sessions, the event's sole purpose is to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, developers, designers and scientists from all walks of life. Multiple advertising opportunities available from lead sponsorship through to standard stalls/experiential.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Whether your aim is to raise brand awareness, increase acquisitions or simply engage with a young audience, Technopop can help fulfil a number of objectives. Aligning yourself with an incredible and inspiring event will resonate with a young audience, helping raise awareness and build your brand. The ability to promote, distribute material or sample at the event itself is possible through a multitude of on-site stall spaces. Amplification of messages can also be achieved through the festival's digital channels which can help drive web traffic and/or sign-ups.

How does it work?

Technopop takes place over a four week period from Oct-Nov. The Olympic Park venue provides the perfect setting to welcome 100,000 14-18s, parents and teachers. The event is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday - Friday every week is focused on education with schools and colleges bringing groups of students en masse. The weekend is open to the public with parents bringing families to have fun and enjoy the event. Attendance for schools and colleges is free of charge with a small charge for parents attending at the weekend. Online registration is also encouraged.

Who's used it in the past?

The event is in its first year but has already had a host of key-name partners including NASA, UK Space Agency, Skype, Jamie's Ministry of Food, University of Bristol, Loughborough University, and many more!
