Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

40m2 screens at the top polo events across the summer. These include The Argentine Cup at Beaufort Polo Club, The Gold Cup - Veuve Clicquot at Cowdray Park polo club, The Queen's Cup and Cartier International at The Guards Polo Club at Windsor Great Park. The screens will show content managed by SKY thoughout the day showing playbacks, penalties and goals. Packages include trade stands and also a table at the finals of the Cartier International. Ads can be booked individually or as a package. Large International following as well.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Screens advertising offers brands exposure to affluent and stylish audience with further involvement in trade village and entertainement with a table of 10 at the Cartier International tournament which attracts a crowd of 25,000 - 30,000 people for the finals. The captain of the winning team historically receives the trophy from HRH The Queen. Brands can also sponsor playbacks of goals and penalties on the screen. Brands will enjoy association with this upmarket and social sport.

How does it work?

15 or 30 second ads will be shown throughout the day either 60 or 30 times. Content will be exciting playbacks of goals, penalties etc and is managed by SKY. At half time the crowd walk onto the pitch to 'tread in' the divots and the ads will be shown at this peak time as well. Sound is possible at half time. Further brand involvement is possible with sponsorship, trade stands and tables. Minimum of 20 minutes advertising (exceeds share of voice by 10%). No more than 12 clients. There are only 5 opportunities available.

The events are very social and have a party atmoshphere resulting in the event being talked about afterwards. Photographs will be taken of the ads in situ and SKY also televise the events a couple of days after. The 2007 proramming schedule is available on request and the 2008 schedule is being negotiated at the moment.
