Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

First Field Marketing are offering wine brands the opportunity to become the official wine sponsor of The Natural History Museum Ice Rink this winter. The Natural History Museum is located on one of the busiest roads in London and attracted 400,000 visitors to the cafe bar and Christmas fair in 2011/2012. The ice will be illuminated by 76,000 Christmas lights which adorn the surrounding trees and the total area of the site is 4,000 square meters.

How does it work?

The sponsorship will run for 9 weeks from mid November to mid January. As The Official Wine Sponsor of the NHM Ice Rink your company will have exclusivity within product category. The sponsor will have the right to sell wine to our caterer to be sold in the bar (exclusively), the right to provide branded Ice Buckets and Cork Screws, the right to have a wine display cabinets behind the Cafe Bar, the right to have your wine brand on the Menu boards with in the Cafe Bar area and additionally on any printed table menus alongside the listing of the wine.

Features / Benefits

Of the 400,000 visitors to the Café Bar and Christmas Fair in 2011/2012, adult tickets accounted for 61% of sales, children 13% & families 26% and sales on Mulled wine in 2011 were over 34k. In additional to the exclusive rights for selling your wine at the venue, the sponsor will be entitled to a priority booking period to The Wine Brand Staff, 80 skating tickets (30 Peak and 50 Off Peak) and 10 tickets to the VIP Ice rink launch event. The sponsor will also have data capture rights and the right to run promotions and competitions linked to the event.
