Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Sky Sports News launched on October 1998, a fantastic, engaging channel which focuses on a wide range of sports, and predominantly on football during the August-May football season. Afternoon Report on Sky Sports News broadcasting 12 hours a week, Europe's leading afternoon report for sports news and information continues to break the big sporting stories first. Sky Media are delighted to offer brands the opportunity to build association with our up-to-the-minute, award winning Sports News service with Afternoon Report!

What is the Marketing Objective?

An excellent opportunity to build awareness of your brand and to target young sport fans

How does it work?

Afternoon Report is available 2 hrs a day, six days a week from Monday to Sunday excluding Saturdays on Sky channel 405. The transmission times are: 15:00-17:00 Monday-Friday/15:00-17:00 Sunday. A sponsor will receive opening & closing credits of 2 x 15 seconds plus 6 x 5 second break bumpers per hour. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to extend sponsorship online and to mobile. Sky operate a truly 360 approach to being the first to break sports news and ensures all news is released across broadcast, online and mobile platforms simultaneously.

Features / Benefits

Further opportunities exist to create bespoke editorial for overall sponsor dependant on requirements. The Sky Mobile offering can extend the sponsorship into numerous mobile touchpoints from banner advertising to sponsorship of one of our iPhone applications. Extending the sponsor association online, a sponsor will receive multi format display advertising across the Sky Sports site.
