Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Oxfam is pleased to offer an opportunity to sponsor Trailwalker and its sister event Trailtrekker, two of the world's leading team challenge events. Trailwalker is the ultimate 100km challenge. Teams of 4 have to walk day and night to complete a 100km course in less than 30 hours. Trailwalker is more than an epic physical and mental challenge; it's a life-changing experience as participants are also raising money to lift people out of poverty for good.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Build brand awareness and connect with young, affluent, professionals. Participants are ABC1, 25-45, urban young professionals. 60% of participants are representing the company they work for. Target 6000 participants and support crew on event day and integrate your brand into a marketing campaign reaching an estimated 53.7 million through outdoor media and 36.7 million through social media.

How does it work?

With 16 events in 12 countries and counting, Trailwalker is a worldwide phenomenon. In 2013 more than 22,000 people collectively walked over 2.2 million kilometres. In the UK, over 3600 people complete the Trailwalker course in the South Downs and the even tougher Trailtrekker in the Yorkshire Dales.

Who's used it in the past?

State Street Corporation has previously benefitted from global sponsorship of the Trailwalker series. This is the first year we are seeking sponsors for the UK events.
