Online website driving employee engagement, knowledge sharing & professional development globally.
Multiply was asked to create and build a website to act as a central resource available to all RBS Group Communications and Marketing function employees, providing a gateway to learning, professional networking, knowledge sharing, development opportunities and resources.
1. To bring a fragmented and geographically dispersed function of 1200 people together
2. Faciliate knowledge sharing and expertise across the function
3. Reduce cost duplication associtated with members attending the same workshops and conferences
For our solution we looked to social networking websites like Facebook and LinkedIn, and sites that provided services and reviews, like Amazon. Our functionality was inspired by elements of these sites in order to design and build a central resource that supported peer to peer learning and online social networking. Users can:
-Connect with other users
-Suggest courses, and recommend articles and events to their colleagues
-Share problems and provide answers through the 'wisdom of the crowd' functionality
-Review RBS authored content and a calendar of events
Through this site the Communications and Marketing function can now operate as 'one community' using the online platform to share knowledge and network beyond their geographical area and boost engagement.
