Sponsor yacht in round-the-world Global Ocean Race

Reach 450m by sponsoring a yacht competing in the Global Ocean Race 2011-2012, starts 25 September, various packages available.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

This is an interesting opportunity to support an Anglo-Italian duo of experienced sailors setting out to compete in the Global Ocean Race. Competing in a Class 40 yacht the pair will be taking in some of the roughest waters on the planet with the ultimate goal being not just to compete, but to win. Covering approximately 30,000 nautical miles the crew will start in Mallorca, Spain and stop in Cape Town, South Africa, Wellington, New Zealand, Punta del Este, Uruguay, Charleston, USA and end in Mallorca. What is the Marketing Objective?

Each "partner" or sponsor package can be tailored around your needs concentrating on any or all of the following objectives: - Brand Awareness - Internal Communication - Corporate Hospitality The team website is translated in 5 languages (English, Italian, French, Slovak and Spanish. Current Race partners include Weetabix and Ventana Grounp

How does it work?

Opportunities within this project exist to come on board as a partner, where you could enjoy a package of corporate hospitality days to entertain your clients as well as see your logo on the boat and website of the team. A higher contribution to the budget would allow you to increase the "brand awareness" component of the project up to gaining the right to name the boat after your company or product.
