Emirates Cup and Wembley Cup takes part over 2 weekends this Summer on Sky Sports 1 and 2.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Following the huge success of the two previous Emirates Cup tournaments in 2007 and 2008, Sky Sports is delighted to announce that it will be broadcasting the Emirates Stadium two day pre-season tournament featuring four of Europe's leading clubs once again. Sky Sports will also be broadcasting the Wembley Cup where Al Ahly, Spurs, Celtic FC and FC Barcelona will be playing over two days at Wembley Stadium in 2009!

What is the Marketing Objective?

Build brand awareness amongst an audience of loyal and dedicated male football fans.

How does it work?

Sky Sports are offering a sponsorship package for the TV coverage of the Emirates Tournament and the Wembley Cup. The package includes; 15 seconds opening and closing credits, 8 x 5 seconds Break Bumpers per live game, and Promotional Trailers where the sponsor will be featured visually and verbally on all on-air promos run specifically for the tournament.

Who's used it in the past?

Previous sponsors of the Sky Sports coverage includes; Sure for Men, Ford and Barclays.
