Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The 2012 event will take place on Friday 31 August, and will move from its current location in Central car park to its new home, The Tower Festival Headland. This new space is able to hold a crowd of around 20,000 with one of the key advantages being that once the famous switch is flicked the audience will see the whole promenade come to light! Real and Smooth Radio will be offering listeners the chance to win tickets to the enclosures for the event. The event itself will include a fantastic line up of bands which will be broadcast across GMG Radio's Real & Smooth brands.

This is an iconic family event attracting nationwide attention.

How does it work?

A sponsor can become part of this huge event with coverage on Real Radio in Scotland, Wales, Yorkshire, North West & North East of England. The programme will also be available on Smooth Radio in London, the East and West Midlands, North East, North West & Glasgow. We will broadcast the event nationally on digital radio. As well as the on air sponsorship, the sponsor will have the opportunity for generating huge awareness of their brand at the event itself.

Features / Benefits

The sponsors branding will be included at the event and placed around the event arena. If the sponsor has a TV ad, there will also be the opportunity for this to appear on the LED screens within the arena. As well as this, the sponsor logo will appear on the screens either side of the staged area. The sponsor will receive integrated branding on a content led sectional on each station website with full details of the Illumination Switch-on and links to the sponsor site. Also, inclusion in 2 VIP newsletters as well as a fixed display campaign.
