Sampling Chia Seeds at Tesco stores - driving sales at the point of purchase.

What was the Campaign Objective?

One of the objectives for this campaign was to build awareness of the Chia Seed Co brand as well as their products (Chia Seeds & Chia Pods). In order to achieve this we would not only need to make consumers aware of the range of Chia seed products available, but also promote the health benefits associated with Chia seeds. By doing so we hoped to achieve a measurable increase in sales.

What was the Solution?

We decided to run a sampling campaign in two Tesco's stores (Guildford & Hemel Hempstead). Each store was equipped with a Chia Seed branded stand in the car park and two staff. The staff distributed samples of Chia Vanilla Pods & Mango Pods in order to drive sales at the point of purchase. An uplift of stock was sent to both stores.

What were the Results?

On the sampling days we saw an increase of sales by 900% SELLING OUT IN BOTH STORES. "Lesley's team were very professional in their set up and their approach to customers was first class. On arrival to the store they were very courteous, made setting up a very simple task and exceeded the stores expectations by selling out of both Chia pots and seeds" - Tim Lane (Guildford Manager). "Very impressed with the team they provided a good display and did a great job by selling out of all the Chia products in store" - Tom (Hemel Hempstead / Duty Manager).
