Everton's Goodison Park is now home to Europe's largest concentration of networked Bluetooth®nodes. The system was installed and tested at the end of the 2007-2008 season and the "java-channel" launches at the start of the 2008-2009 season with full marketing support from MDM.TV screens, giant pitch side screens, pitch side perimeter boards, match day programmes and the official club website. The Bluetooth® Channel delivers state of the art content management and media optimization technology developed to enhance user experience.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Management and media optimization technology developed to enhance user experience. The system takes a new approach to proximity marketing with the introduction of Everton's own "java-channel", a rich media content management application that delivers club news, player profiles, results, manager comments and entertainment free to the fans via Bluetooth®.

How does it work?

The stadium has 88 nodes connected via IP delivering state of the art content management and media optimization technology developed to enhance user experience. The system was installed and tested at the end of the 2007-2008 season and the "java-channel" launches at the start of the 2008-2009 season with full marketing support from MDM.TV screens, giant pitch side screens, pitch side perimeter boards, match day programmes and the official club website.
