Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The Children of Courage Awards was launched in 1973. It is an annual event paying tribute to the nation's bravest children. It was created to salute children whose lives have been interrupted through no fault of their own. Previous categories have included:*Lifesaver *Young carers *Giving back and Beating the bullies. Winners are selected by high profile panel of judges headed by Karen Livermore, Editor of Woman's Own. Sponsorship of the 2009 Children of Courage event is currently on offer.

To build awareness of your brand and to develop a unique partnership with an established brand.

How does it work?

Winners and families travel to London for a 3 day event which includes: Breakfast at Downing Street, carol service and award ceremony hosted at Westminster Abbey, lunch at the House of Lords plus a number of other visits and treats arranged for the children. The sponsor will receive branding on all Children of Courage editorial pieces in Woman's Own, feature in editor's letter, sponsor message in the form of advertorials across the campaign period plus a digital opportunity on new micro site for Children of Courage, accessed through wwwgoodtoknow.co.uk
