Europe's biggest and most established surf, skate and music festival is returning to Newquay for its 30th Anniversary.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

To celebrate the 30th Year Anniversary Relentless Boardmasters is bringing back some of the oldest disciplines in surf: the Long Board competition. We'll be hosting a 3* Men's Comp and a 6* Women's Comp, as well as upgrading the World Qualifying Series Surf competition to 6* for a five day contest. Expect to see no less than 100,000 visitors to Fistral Beach over 5 days taking advantage of the highest class of sports on offer, with the best athletes around battling for 1st place. The sun goes down and the party begins just a few miles down the road at Watergate Bay.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Relentless Boardmasters presents a fantastic opportunity for brand awareness and alignment with an aspirational youth event, also an excellent and unique platform for brand experience campaigns. The Fistral Beach site is free so naturally claims a high footfall and for this reason the audience is very receptive to brand/product interaction and product sampling is also very successful here. We've seen figures of 40,000 units per day! The Watergate Bay site is where Cornwall's party is held. Here brands can interact with their consumers on a deeper, interactive level.

How does it work?

The event is spilt across two sites, Fistral Beach where the 6* WQS and Longboard Surf and vans Summer Session Skate contests take place. A vast retail village along with event Beach Bar host three Beach Sessions in the evenings. Watergate Bay is the outstanding location for the two day Music Festival. Sponsors rights for partners will include; sponsors branding on all Boardmasters pre-event marketing schedules including national and regional print advertising campaigns,the use of the Relentless Boardmasters logo on brand communication including POS,comps,+onsite branding
