Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

The commemorations will be marked by an ambitious series of public events intended to raise awareness of Medway's rich heritage and provide a welcome to the many tens of thousands of domestic and overseas visitors who are expected to visit Medway in 2017. We have identified a number of sponsorship opportunities within the program and we are very happy to tailor the sponsorship offering to deliver the maximum value for each sponsor's investment.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Objective is to raise the profile of Medway nationally and internationally and help "put Medway on the map". This two week festival is a valuable opportunity for brands to build awareness and potentially be seen to be an employer that values the local community in Medway. Involvement of the armed forces, dignitaries and interested visitors from the Netherlands also demonstrate wide ranging international associations. It is also a great opportunity for companies to contribute to their corporate, social responsibility agenda

How does it work?

People come to the events, have a great time, see the sponsors associated with the events and pick-up branded materials and then form conscious or unconscious emotional relationships with the sponsoring brands.

Who's used it in the past?

Medway has run many big events in the past but none of them have been sponsored before - so this is a media first opportunity.
