Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

GoreZone Magazine was created in 2005 and quickly became the favourite monthly read of every horror fan, increasing to a present day WorldWide distribution of 100,000 copies. The magazine covers reviews for Film Theatrical release's, DVD, Blue- Ray, Games, Books, Clothes plus exclusive interviews with actors and directors. GoreZone Magazine Weekend of Horror Halloween Film Festival is an annual event for film lovers and readers of the monthly magazine. The film festival shows 14 horror film premieres over the two day event. Sponsorship of the event is currently available.

What is the Marketing Objective?

The event will raise brand awareness for sponsors both through the attending guests and the large audience through the magazine publication as sponsors will be highlighted in promotional activity, preview adverts & post reviews both in print and online. The Magazine's demographic is predominantly male aged 14-45 with disposable income.

How does it work?

Headline and secondary sponsorship slots are available prior to each film premiere. All sponsors will be listed on advertising prior and post the event in the Magazine (100,000 monthly worldwide distribution), on the website (25,000 unique users avg. per month), on "coming soon" posters outside the cinema in central London and flyer giveaways through publication and by hand. Additional promotions available are flyers, goodybags etc to the 360 guests each day given by our staff on entry.

Who's used it in the past?

Many of the film studios have supported the event by way of giveaways and competitions during the weekend, namely Lionsgate, Revolver and Play.com. EA Sports also supplied a gaming pod enabling guests to play a soon to be released video game. Other companies who manufacture products such as toy/collectables and sweets supplied giveaways and an independent distribution company sold bottles of there new alcoholic drink. All reported a great response from the event and subsequent coverage in the magazine which has led many to be involved again this year.
