Bournemouth 7s Festival is the World's Largest Sport and Music Festival attracting over 30,000 people annually to the picturesque surroundings of Bournemouth Sports Club in Dorset. By day, more than 400 Rugby, Netball, Hockey and Dodgeball teams and 5,000 players compete in a vast array of sporting tournaments across more than 65 acres of stunning sports land with the National Cup Pitch at the heart of the Main Festival Arena. By night, the Main Festival Arena offers 12 different arena's generating a truly unique festival atmosphere driven by over 40 live acts/DJs.

What is the Marketing Objective?

Following the most commercially successful Rugby World Cup ever, faced with unprecedented growth in the profile of Netball and with Rugby 7s making its bow in the 2016 Rio Olympics, Bournemouth 7s presents a unique opportunity to engage with grassroots sports people. The festival presents an enticing audience for a vast array of sponsors and commercial partners. A 2017 Headline Sponsor would be supported by our dedicated team of event professionals delivering a brand experience to increase exposure and showcase products/services that truly resonate with our audience.

How does it work?

The Headline Sponsor carries a plethora of sponsorship rights for the festival, now working towards its 10th year. The brand would receive a vast array of pre-event marketing profile through an engaged social media following, a mix of online promotion and traditional above the line marketing both regionally and nationally. The brand would be further promoted through a dynamic mix of onsite activity including exciting onsite experiential activations (which can be delivered in conjunction with Bournemouth 7s), traditional branding and multi-media promotion.

The Bournemouth 7s Team has a vast portfolio of sponsors and commercial partners including some of the largest brands in the world. These include, amongst others; Wii Fit Plus (Title Sponsor), Red Bull, Maxi Nutrition, Lucozade Sport, Carlsberg UK, KIA, BMW, Kopparberg, Heathrow Express, Alcatel One Touch, Adidas, Gatorade, Vita Coco, Sci MX, Virgin Active, Hooch, Tom Tom and many more. A good example is Heathrow Express who targeted our core audience with extensive pre-event campaigns, onsite brand activations and hospitality that increased awareness of the brand.
