Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?
The Ladbrokes St Leger festival in September is an annual highlight and one of the largest racing events in the British Flat Racing Season, staged over four days it features the world's oldest classic race, the Ladbrokes St. Leger and other 'Premier League' races. The opportunity exists to have the naming rights sponsorship of a race on one of the most popular days of the racecourses calendar and indeed the social calendar in Yorkshire and the Northern part of the Country- The DFS Ladies Day offers extensive brand and advertising awareness to a targeted audience.
How does it work?
The festival attracts huge media attention locally and nationally and with coverage across the UK and World Wide Coverage via Satellite and Internet Television. Coverage is both pre, during and post event. Doncaster Racecourse, home of the race, offers various on-and-off-course branding opportunities and the perfect vehicle to deliver many marketing, PR and business objectives.
Who's used it in the past?
Ladbrokes have been the title sponsor of the festival for the past four years, they use the event to promote both on-and-off-line betting, brand awareness and to achieve various other marketing and PR objectives. DFS are new sponsors to the festival and are committed to sponsoring again after a success sponsorship in 2009, they use the event for high profile brand awareness, advertising and for top class hospitality for high level entertainment. The festival has also attracted race sponsorship from Samsung, Bauer, Audi, Porcelanosa, Polypipe and various other companies
