Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?
Third party double sided branded bookmarks distributed to customers with purchase through the UK's premium bookseller - Waterstones.com. Bookmarks provide a functional purpose, but also serve as a mini poster. Bookmarks are retained by the customer allowing advertising message or promotional offer to be viewed at close proximity with multiple repeated opportunities to see. Additional benefit includes opportunity for perforated tear off response/redemption voucher.
How does it work?
Confero Marketing produce and distribute double-sided branded bookmarks for distribution with all book purchases through the UK's No1 Bookseller - Waterstones. To further increase market penetration and campaign reach we can also include A5 Inserts through Waterstone's online order product despatch. Advertising messages received by consumer at home address. Confero provide the technical specification for design of artwork and once approved we manage print, production and fulfilment inclusive
Who's used it in the past?
Waterstone's generic messaging to date. Opportunity has very recently been opened up to third party messaging and product sampling where appropriate. This is a relatively new initiative for Waterstone's which is now being offered to third party advertisers through Confero as an excellent and cost effective brand marketing tool. We are currently seeking a launch advertiser for March 2010.
