Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Developed as a cycle sport based entertainment platform with commercial appeal and an engaging gateway to cycle sport participation. This is action packed head to head Olympic style pursuit racing held right in the heart of UK towns and cities. 4 brand owned teams compete in regional events across the UK & a Super Final in the heart of London. Each team consists of 2 named Olympic / elite riders (1 male/1 female) & two locally qualifying amateur riders (1 male/1 female). The teams are competing for overall victory and to top the series medal table at the finale event.

What is the Marketing Objective?

The StreetVelodrome Series offers a highly cost effective and innovative turnkey sponsorship activation opportunities to achieve the following: Brand awareness through trackside advertising and TV exposure in the UK and Worldwide Customer engagement through experiential activities & our free wi-fi live event platform for spectator voting, social media sharing & access to branded content. Product sampling / merchandising at each live event Celebrity / Elite Athlete endorsement CSR association with our national charity partner

Brand owners are invited to obtain a team franchise offering team naming rights, exclusive brand placement, live event activation opportunities, trackside advertising & free wifi for spectator engagement. Television exposure throughout the series with broadcasts on: UK & ROI: Ch4, Sky, Eurosport, Setanta, Premier Sports, The Active Channel Europe: Eurosport, Canal+, PrisaTV. USA: Fox Sports, ESPN. Who's used it in the past?

2014 Team Sponsors included: Mad Dog Energy Lemonade Mad Dog Energy Lemonade used their team sponsorship and product placement to raise brand awareness in the UK and in key markets (Africa, Middle East, Australia & USA) through the global TV coverage of the 2014 series. Live event activation included product sampling and free merchandising to spectators. All team equipment including race bikes, apparel, elite rider management, logistics, branded assets were provided centrally by the StreetVelodrome Company.
