World Cup Screening Parties at venues local to the radio station, supported on air with ticket giveaways.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Approx 100 listeners would come together to watch the England matches from a VIP area of a pub, where they could enjoy a few pints & some pub grub whilst cheering on the England team. The best place to watch the game is with your mates in a pre planned location. Fabulous party atmosphere in the pub and on air, with the added excitement of DJ's doing live links or an outside broadcast from the pub. There is also the opportunity to use our RSVP partners, IPC Media and Viacom.

What is the Marketing Objective?

An opportunity like this gives a client a positive association with the biggest football tournament or arguably the biggest sporting event around. The screening parties are all about sharing celebration and supporting England. As well as raising brand awareness the screening parties will also encourage trial of the clients products through sampling at the events.

How does it work?

Friday 9th June to Friday 23rd June we have 3 guaranteed England Matches. On air we will run a series of promotional trails and live reads inviting listeners to call in for their chance to win tickets to one of our screening parties. Supported with on line and text. Should England get through the group stages we will run a screening party for each of their following matches.

The screenings parties are all organised by GCap media with a team dedicated to delivering the best possible time to our listeners. As sponsor the client will thus gain positive association with one of the most exciting sporting events. The World Cup is being held in Germany this year with kick off times starting in the afternoon, radio has the real advantage of capturing that passion in the build up to the matches. Using on line, text and sampling gives this package a cross media presence for the sponsor as well a data capture.
