Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

LBC 97.3 is London's number one commercial speech station and targets 35 - 55 year old listeners who are "opinionated Londoners" and tend to be upmarket and well educated. 250 listeners aged 25 - 55 informed us on subjects such as pensions, their attitude towards financial institutions, saving and insurance.

What is the Marketing Objective?

LBC 97.3 wanted to gain an insight into the financial sector through the eyes of the LBC listener in order to better understand the pressures facing marketers within that industry as well as understand how we can help.

How does it work?

The survey was sent out to the VIP listener database for LBC 97.3 in London. The listeners were incentivised to answer the questions with the chance to win a crate of champagne. The results were then tabulated and checked by our Research team and trends were analysed.

Who's used it in the past?

This was the first time we have run this kind of study for this category, and it will be repeated on a rolling basis to ensure that the information is always relevant.
