Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Sponsorship of the Sky Sports coverage of the 2011 Horse racing, from January to March, culminating with the Dubai world cup! From the start of the year Thursday night will be race night, with live racing every week from under the floodlights at Great Leighs. In addition Sky Sports will be taking the viewer around the country to further live evening meetings, crammed full of engaging races and content. Sky will then move it's coverage over to Dubai, consisting of ten meetings, running from January to March 2011.

What is the Marketing Objective?

An excellent opportunity to build brand awareness through targeting an audience of sport enthusiasts.

How does it work?

Sponsorship accreditation shall provide a brand with opening and closing credits in a sequence lasting up to 15 seconds. Break bumpers will feature the sponsor verbally and visually on a full frame bumper for 5 seconds, entering and leaving the commercial break. The sponsor will be featured in all promotional trailers specific to horse racing programming on Sky Sports visually, and wherever possible verbally also.

Who's used it in the past?

This is a brand new opportunity, however other sponsors of Sky Sports coverage have included Gillette, Ford, Bet 365 and Sure for Men.

Features / Benefits

To complement the evening racing Sky transmits a morning show called Racing News, which previews racing from around the country on that day. Supplemented with video clips and tips, this proves an indispensable guide to the racing enthusiast. The programme runs all year round and is scheduled seven days a week, where possible. Sponsorship of the horse racing coverage will also encompass this platform.
