Broadcast sponsorship of FA Cup coverage 2010 / 2011

ESPN and Sky Media are seeking a broadcast sponsor for all coverage of the FA Cup for the 2010/2011 season.

Tell us about the Opportunity / What is it?

Once again ESPN have shown their commitment to showing top class live sport in the UK by signing a deal with the FA to show live, exclusive coverage of up to 25 FA Cup matches per season until 2013/2014 including one exclusive Semi-Final match and a simulcast of the FA Cup Final. Along with live action of each round there will also be preview and highlights shows from the ESPN team including Ray Stubbs and FA Cup hero Kevin Keegan. ESPN and Sky Media are seeking a broadcast sponsor for all coverage of the FA Cup for the 2010/2011 season

What is the Marketing Objective?

Build awareness of your brand and become associated with quality sports coverage.

How does it work?

The sponsor will be featured visually and verbally in a title sequence lasting up to 15 seconds, featured either side of the centre break for a full 5" screen (average six breaks per live match therefore twelve bumpers) and on any promotional trailers specific to the FA Cup. With 25 Live Matches across 8 rounds, each live match will be repeated on ESPN UK. Each round of the competition will have a preview show along with highlights of matches during and after each round.

Who's used it in the past?

This is a brand new opportunity however other sponsors of Sky Sports football coverage include Gillette, Ford, Bet 365 and Sure for Men.
